Install this counter on a phone or tablet so it opens full-screen from the home screen, with its own icon and no browser address bar — exactly like a native app. It still talks directly to this unit over your local network.
iPhone / iPadOpen in Safari → Share ↑ → Add to Home Screen
AndroidOpen in Chrome → menu ⋮ → Add to Home screen / Install app
Windows / MacChrome or Edge → install icon in the address bar
Tip: give each unit a distinct Unit / Line Name below — the installed app takes its name and icon label from it, so several counters stay easy to tell apart.
Essentials
The unit name appears on the dashboard, in KPJ Master Count, and as the installed app's name.
DI-1 counts each pulse. Good for proximity or photo-eye sensors on conveyors.
DI-1=Encoder A, DI-2=Encoder B. Enable Quadrature below. Set debounce to 0 for encoders.
Connect 0–10V loadcell amplifier to AI-1. Configure zero and full-scale voltages in Loadcell Calibration.
Pulse-based rate monitor. Alarm relay fires if rate falls outside alarm window.
Counts to target. DO-3 pulses on complete. Auto-reset restarts batch after delay.
Single-channel encoder, increments only. Ideal for cut lengths, web lengths.
e.g. 100 pulses/mm for encoder; 1 per product for counter
e.g. 25.4 to convert mm→inch
0 = disabled (use for encoders). 5000µs = 5ms good for most proximity sensors. Increase if double-counting.
Tip: you can also change Batch Target and current count live from the Dashboard without saving.
0 = no batch limit
0 = run indefinitely
DO-3 pulse duration on batch complete
Inputs & Calibration
Counts rejected/scrap units on DI-2 in parallel with the main count, for KPJ Master Count's input-stock & scrap reporting. Not available when DI-2 is used as the Encoder-B / quadrature input (Encoder modes).
0 = use the same Pulses-Per-Unit as the main count
Live Voltage at AI-1
–.–– V
Calculated Value
–.–––
Live readings update every second. Use to set zero/full-scale voltages accurately.
0 = disabled
9999 = disabled
Outputs
When disabled the output stays at 0V. Fields below are ignored.
Any positive value.
Data & Time
Default za.pool.ntp.org (South African pool).
Whole hours only. South Africa has no daylight saving, so UTC+2 is correct year-round.
NTP: –
Manual clock set — used when NTP is disabled or no internet connection
Device time: not set
Choose when a log entry is recorded.
Uses the unit's wall-clock time, so set the timezone above correctly.
Connectivity & Access
Publishes: prefix/process, /rate, /batch, /batches, /total, /status
WiFi credentials, static IP and the access point live on the WiFi page.
In Software mode this unit's local product editor is hidden and KPJ Master Count keeps the product list in sync. The unit still runs as a full standalone counter either way.
When set, all control/settings/OTA actions on this unit (and the KPJ Master Count link) require this password (username "admin"). Leave blank to keep the current password unchanged. Enter - to remove the password and disable authentication.
✅ No restart required — settings apply immediately on save.
